Georgia Farmers Set Their Sights on Olive Oil
The United States is the third largest consumer of olive oil in the world and 99 percent of the olive oil consumed comes from other countries. However, olive farmers in Georgia are trying to change that – and it’s not going unnoticed.
Earlier this month, Washington Post writer, Bonnie S. Benwick toured local olive farms to speak with experts on olive oil production in Georgia, including COI for Agribusiness director, Donnie Smith. See Benwick’s article below.
