UGA Grass Used in World Cup Soccer Match

The University of Georgia had a unique connection to Friday's World Cup soccer match between Brazil and Portugal - a special Bermuda grass hybrid developed by UGA turfgrass scientists in Tifton. The grass, which is designed to withstand tough sports like soccer, was used in Moses Mobhida Stadium, one of the largest stadiums built for the World Cup. Read more...
